Wellness Program

Employees are the most valuable asset of any business. They help produce important business outcomes – but they also cost money in terms of benefits. So if you were to invest money to improve the productivity and reduce the costs associated with your employees, would you do it if the benefit justified the cost?

Studies have repeatedly demonstrated that Wellness Programs lower health care and insurance costs, lower rates of bsenteeism, and improve performance and productivity. Across the board, participants who joined Wellness Programs show a marked improvement in their health scores (Please contact Pam Guiles for more details on the survey).

There's compelling evidence that a sizable portion of the billions of dollars currently spent by employers on health-related costs is avoidable by means of wellness programming. Wellness programs have proven to be highly cost-effective, particularly when the wellness programming is matched to the medical probl ems of the specific staff member.

  • Preventative ROI
Medicare programs spend on average $1,390 per person per year for medical treatment of disease, but only $1.21 to prevent disease. Preventative Disease management interventions have reported up to $7 ROI for each dollar invested in medical costs.
  • Reduced Absenteeism
Absenteeism has been proven to be impacted by company health promotion and health promotion programs. The evidence indicates a significant reduction in absenteeism and resultant dollars saved tha
  • Increased Performance, Productivity and Morale
A number of corporations with wellness programs report documented improvement in job attitude, work performance, energy level, and/or overall morale among wellness program participants – all critical factors in enhancing productivity.

How Wellness Works

TRISTAR Wellness works in collaboration with each employer to introduce the program and educate employees. It starts with a step-by- step approach that can be tailored to any employer's needs.

  • Employer Incentive for the employee's participation in the Wellness Program
  • Employees participate in an initial Wellness assessment
  • Initial Wellness Testing: Assessment score and custom health improvement plan for the employee
  • The employee receives an individualized plan of action within 2 weeks of submitting their assessment form, which provides the employee with their wellness score, recommendations to improve the score, and the date for the next assessment.
  • All of our programs our HIPAA compliant and maintain strict confidentiality.

Employees also have access to additional services designed to identify and correct at-risk health conditions including

Disease Care Management

Disease Care management is for employees who need more help than those at the healthy end of the scoring spectrum. Disease Care Management includes case management, utilization management, and disease management. Care management can help at-risk employees achieve better health through effective patient management. Effective patient management helps them continue with the behaviors and clinical approaches that have been proven to work.

Total Health View

We look at the employee's complete health – not just a single condition, but the overall health status, to find the right combination of information and support to help them achieve their optimal health status. If it is unreasonably difficult due to a medical condition for an employee to achieve the standards for the reward under this program, the Wellness Nurse will work with the employee directly to create a customized program.
